We were delighted to welcome so many parents and carers into school for our recent Writing Family Learning Morning. The event offered a valuable opportunity for families to gain a deeper understanding of how writing is taught across our curriculum and to see first-hand the strategies we use to support children as developing writers.

One of the highlights of the event was the chance for parents and carers to step into their child’s classroom and observe a live writing lesson. This provided a real insight into the routines, modelling, and scaffolding that help pupils to become enthusiastic and capable writers. Many families commented on how valuable it was to see the learning in action and to better understand the techniques their children talk about at home.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who attended and for the positive feedback shared. Events like this strengthen the partnership between home and school, helping us work together to support every child’s progress and confidence in writing.
