This term, we’ve made a splash — quite literally — with our fantastic swimming lessons! From the first brave steps into the pool to the confident strokes we see now, our pupils have shown amazing courage and aspiration as they’ve learned this essential life skill.
Swimming is not just a sport — it’s a vital skill that can help keep us safe, build our confidence, and strengthen both body and mind. For many of our pupils, these lessons have been full of new experiences: floating for the first time, learning to put their faces in the water, or mastering a new stroke. Each achievement, big or small, has been celebrated with pride.
We’ve also seen the values we treasure as a Church of England school shining through in every lesson: aspiration, respect, courage and community. It’s been inspiring to see children cheering each other on, offering support, and trying their very best — even when things felt a little bit scary at first.
Well done to all our pupils — we are so proud of your progress and positivity. Let’s keep swimming with courage and aspiration!
